Super green power for London’s red buses

London has long been known for its famous red buses. But it seems all that is about to change.
The buses are going green! No need to get too concerned, the much loved red livery will stay - only the engines are going green.

London’s buses look set for a cleaner, quieter future. From 2012, new double-deckers will be diesel-electric hybrids. Trials are being carried out in the United Kingdom capital by bus companies in partnership with Transport for London (TFL).
